Racism 2.0

Unfortunately racism is still apart of our society. Social media has a very big influence on racism, if not the biggest. It can make a small story huge very quickly. For example, when a cop shoots an African American the media gets a hold of the story and makes it known to all. The story is seen by everybody who watches social media including family and friends of the person being shot. When a member of a family gets flak usually the family has something to say to whomever gave the flak.
When somebody is shot a riot, or some other form or rebellion, can very easily be brought up. This has happened so many times in the past, and is still currently happening today. Who knows when it will end? Some people can't let go of the fact that even though we may be a little different we are all human beings at the end of the day.

Growing up in a small town I personally was never affected by too much racism. There were a few students who were the minority. Nothing huge ever happened to upset another person. All of us lived as normal human beings no matter what race we were. I can say that I am definitely not a racist. When I look at a person I think to myself, "they are no different than I am."  Racism along with the use of social media can cause so much drama now a days its ridiculous. As I was reading some of the articles on the website above it blew my mind how some people talk to others. People who think they are better than others or are different are completely wrong. The people who say racism is alright are the ones who are constantly degrading others. I am fully against racism and hate it. I hope one day people can all resolve their differences and live as a whole.
