On the Media: The little pink pill

I decided to write about the little pink pill. The little pink pill is a drug called Phlobantorin that arouses women sexually. Some are calling it Viagra for women. Brooke Gladstone from on the media covers how it is affecting not only women, but everybody surrounding a user.

Physical:
This topic is talked about all over the media. Stories are coming out about it all over. Brooke Gladstone talks about the pill and what people are saying about it. A few ads about the pill are put into the interview to see how the company wants to sell it.

Psychological:
Some women are all for the so called drug, while others are saying that it is wrong to go about changing womens' sex drives. Men are obviously happier about the news of a pill for women with the similar effects as Viagra. Some women are angry and are totally against the idea and want nothing to do with it. Feminists are saying that the drug was made for a condition that doesn't exist.

Social:
The roles of this drug would be to sexually arouse women easier. This in turn would make both males and females happier. What makes this different from Viagra is that this pill was actually made for women to arouse them sexually. In the beginning Viagra was made to unblock certain parts of a male when they became plugged. The rules are to use at your own risk.

Temporal:
This is going on all over the place. Due to the fact that Feminists are totally against this pill, not all women will want to take part in trying it. Viagra was made in 1998 and from then on scientists have been looking for a way to make a female version. Here we are less than 20 years later with the drug, but not everybody is too happy with it.

Cultural:
Again the attitudes towards this issue are both good and bad. I am leaning on more of the bad side. Feminists have really stepped up and are totally bashing on the product. They say this is a drug that makes women feel bad about themselves, when in all reality women feel bad for themselves regardless.

I honestly feel that this drug will indeed help out women who struggle to get aroused. According to the article 43% of women have a problem getting aroused sexually. The survey that was taken was a little skewed so the results are not 100% accurate. The article states that there are 26 different kinds of drugs men can take for sexual arousal, while this is the first and only pill for women. I found all that information highly interesting. I say the pill should be put to use. The USDA didn't work that hard to have all their hard work shut down by a few feminists who say the pill is wrong and that there is no need for it.
